What is it like to have a brother so famous that Disney itself makes films about him? What is it like to always be the other one, nothing like the one that’s always first, better? “Orecchio, Broher of Pinocchio” is a story about the uniqueness of each of us. Merlin Vervaet creates a reality where one can float away in fear or fall asleep during incredibly boring stories.
In such a world, is it possible to find room for self-confidence and passion? Orecchcio needs to face not only his family’s expectations, but also his own self-image. Director Ada Tabisz tells us a story about the dilemmas of identity and sibling relation, which is not always easy. So who will Orecchio become? A famous traveller or an actor? Or perhaps just Orecchio.
